About WomenNow Ghana

We are a non-profit in Ho, Volta Region, working with adolescent girls and young women in deprived rural communities.

Who we are

WomenNow Ghana (WNG) creates better lives for adolescent girls and young women through advocacy and education on menstrual hygiene management, and through vocational skills training. We work in rural communities in the Volta Region, where poverty keeps many girls out of school and many young women out of work.

Our work rests on a simple belief: if we equip women with knowledge and skills and defend their rights, women rise together with men and the world becomes fairer.

Our vision

To empower girls and young women by advocating for menstrual health, providing washable menstrual pads, and offering vocational training that leads to economic independence.

Our mission

To ensure the health, social and economic rights of young women are respected and protected, and to promote quality education and access to information for girls and women.

What we work on

  • Ending period poverty and promoting dignity in menstrual health
  • Menstrual hygiene management education in schools and communities
  • Vocational skills training for young women who have left school
  • Mentoring of school girls
  • Protecting women's rights and speaking out against violence against women
  • Promoting the needs of the girl child

Our values

Integrity, excellence, hard work, compassion and collaboration.
